It’s been over a year, and quite embarrassing to say, I seem to be..indulging myself a bit too much in the Star Eyes Inn that I haven’t drifted my attention seeking onto my next destination. There were still stories regarding rural horrors or creative literature on the talely-board from time to time. Frankly, many of them were quite stunning.
During this year, Star Eyes Inn had more funds to remodel, the owner bought the house next to and knocked through the wall between, expanding room numbers and table seats. Apart from the singing stage which had originally existed, now there was a small theatre holding comedy events or play activities. As for me, the most important part was the biggest room on the first floor, right-hand side.
During this year, I worked as a storyteller, bringing interesting stories to my audiences in my 20-puffmount-capacity empire. Some of them were submitted by writers, some of them were topics regarding historical figures that I had studied (In spite of my idleness, I read some history after all.)
During this year, one of my audiences, Vonsü’féu Shanshié happened to be a young genius, winning the highest literary award in the kingdom at the age of 19. But he refused the royal position and decided to work as a freelance writer to wage all that creativity in his mind. History will have a place for him.
During this year, it seemed that I’ve become the hidden hand to push the literary aura of this kingdom to its highest by several chained reactions. Star Eyes Inn had always been a bustling stay, with all that massive development, people were FLOODED even more. Rich folks starting to live nearby, more opportunities and money polished this vicinity of Naiye’fei into a shining, flourishing, nightless realm. Funny enough, the root of all this went back to a made-up ‘Phantom of Fei’nen’ that I simply improvised.
But this year, this year was the last amount of time which I would spend in Star Eyes. I was leaving, while Vonsüféu happily accepted my request to take on the storyteller’s title.
For that day, I might have found the next destination.
