When the flames around her hybrid body and the flames of her makeshift arm settled back to orange, she looked around and removed the fire that had been burning some of the klevonian.
"Doubt they'll die. They're bodies are more powerful than yours, so your flames would need more time to do anything irreversible," Avarice spoke without looking at Za'Fia. He knew she was probably worried about killing someone after losing control again. Then he looked at me and smirked mockingly. "What? Your will not strong enough to resist? Aren't you the Primordial Queen?"
"Shut...up...," I gritted my teeth as I forced the influence I felt creeping in my head at bay. Once it receded from my fortitude, I exhaled sharply, feeling a weight lift from my mind.

Rave stood with his large foot pressed against the head of one of the pneumarians of his crest. He'd just finished yet another lackluster battle.
"I've defeated you, waste of spaces, over and over," he said in disappointment, kicking the unconscious pneumarian away from him. "I'm tired of being stuck here when there are so many others worth the effort I could be fighting."
Rave's head turned as they suddenly sensed unfamiliar power being thrown around several miles away. He slowly smiled with newfound eagerness as a thrilling excitement rushed through him.
"Heh heh...finally. New blood..."
Noticing an absence, he looked around for his subordinate despite already knowing that she wasn't present.
"Where's Barrett?" He demanded.
"She's already ahead of us. She's claiming the new prey as her own...," his other direct subordinate, Ripclaw, growled as he raised a bloodied claw from his victim.
Rave abruptly took off in a full sprint toward the new energy he felt.
All of you, wait right there, he thought as he raced forward.

Having regained my composure, I looked around and saw that everything was either on fire, destroyed, or partially covered in gold. I was about to tell them to help put out the fires when a freak wind spiraled around us, creating a funnel that ignited from the raging forest fire until the flames were put out.
We each sensed someone coming as they stepped through the fiery wall of wind. It was a short female klevonian with ragged, unkept hair. She wore rags for clothes like a caveman and was dirty, like it'd been ages since she touched water. Around her neck and waist, she adorned herself with various animal bones (I'm hoping they were animals), and she wore a matching animal's skull on top of her head.
I took a peek at her bio card. Her name was Barrett, also known as The Beast of Turbulence. She was a 3-star threat with a base EQN of 45,663,200, and had only one cintracy – the eutierric Anemos cintracy, granting her control over the wind. Based on the scale she'd shown and the light green aura she had, it was safe to say she was a sage klevonian, too.
Barrett's eyes glowed a light green as she took a primal stance before us and slowly began circling us.
"She's like a wild animal," Za'Fia commented as we kept our fronts facing the girl.
"Then we simply need to tame her," Avarice remarked maliciously as he squatted and touched the ground.
Just as some of the ground began to turn to gold, we each felt another force fast approaching as a barbaric roar silenced the woods. Barrett went stiff, and her eyes widened as we saw trees fall one after another and, WHAM! Barrett, who'd been standing there one second, was suddenly hit and sent flying as a goliath now stood grinning down at us.
There was too much dirt kicked up to make out his features, but a safe distance behind him, we saw another klevonian licking his bloodied claw. His name was Ripclaw "The Cindium Beast". He was a 3-star threat, too, with a base EQN of 45,720,000. He didn't have an elemental cintracy, but did possess a mystic one called Perfect Conjure. He was similarly covered in filth, like Barrett, and wore ragged, caveman-like clothing that also revealed his muscular physique. He wore a morbidly cute bear pelt as a hat, with a savage red aura, and he casually licked blood from his large, metallic claws. I didn't think it made him the least bit more approachable.
The goliath regained my immediate attention as the dirt settled, revealing a hulking pneumarian that was over 9 feet tall. He had mangy skin and wore only a pair of ragged shorts and a necklace of animal bones. His name was Rave "The Beast of Carnage". He was a 3-star threat with a staggering EQN of 524,490,000. He too only had one cintracy – a temp one called Battle Instinct. Unlike the others, he had two occupations: Crest Head and...Spiritan Commander!?
This guy's a Spiritan Commander? Who'd give a beast like this command in an army? Avarice inquired.
It is precisely his primal, uncontrollable nature that is relied on in crises, Viraa commented.
Rave's imposing aura was a wild yellow that I could feel pushing a primal urge onto us as he stood over us. He was the source of whatever influenced our minds. We continued to resist as we leaped back, avoiding a sudden blow from the monster.
He glanced over us carefully before speaking with a voice deep enough to vibrate through my stomach.
"You've figured out the way to resist it...no matter."
Skipping any chance for reasonable dialogue, Rave surged forward, ready for chaos to erupt. We went on the defensive and scurried away from him as he swung his massive arms at us. For such a big dude, he was terrifyingly fast. We only barely managed to evade him, even with my future sight and pushing the others out of the way.
"I thought we weren't supposed to fight like this..." I said through the chaos.
A hand bigger than my head reached toward me, and I jerked back to avoid it as Rave replied while grinning, "That's to protect the weak from being harmed. My territory has no city to restrict us. So, we can fight...unrestricted!" He punched the ground with such force that it shook and crumbled beneath our feet.
Unearthed stone and uprooted trees were shrouded in his yellow spirit energy before he started hurling them toward us with enough force to create craters.
I was able to protect us by reinforcing my Stasis Field, but it wouldn't last long against his barrage.
"We're just here to talk! We don't want to fight!" I yelled, but my words fell on deaf ears as he continued hurling debris at us.
Avarice willed gold to spread across the ground and creep up Rave's legs, but Rave easily shattered it and pushed forward in a burst of speed. Faster than either of us could react, Rave's palms covered me and Avarice's faces as the force behind them caused us to involuntarily lean so far back our feet no longer touched the ground. Our perception made everything slow down as our brains worked overtime. We were horizontal and felt Rave about to force us into the ground.
