Before Tymon could react, he felt the figure grip his ankle, and a tremendous force as he was thrown through a stone wall.
Outside, he skidded to a stop, dragging his feet across what resembled concrete, then coughed up blood. Tymon noted that the area wasn't cold or snowy anymore. He was in a different place entirely – a different sector. He spotted the large structure he'd just been thrown out of had the symbol 'S-Z' on it.
Tymon looked at his blood on the ground.
Whoever this person was, they were in a different league than Gahiji and the other klevonians he'd met.
Through the hole across from him, he felt a presence as it exited into the open. As they stepped into the light of day, he saw that it was a woman. Like each of the other klevonians he'd met, she had reddish-brown skin, but that's as far as the similarities went.
She had a dignified presence and the uniform to match. She wore a dark suit consisting of dark pants and a dark suit jacket with golden cuffs at the end of the arm sleeves. Over part of the pants were brown combat boots that extended up to her knees and a matching brown band at the bottom of one of her thighs. At her waistline, she wore a brown belt over her dark jacket.
Beneath her dark suit jacket, he saw gold and white linings. Perhaps she wore a vest underneath that matched those colors. Like Avarice, she wore a golden tie and a dark dress shirt, and over everything, she wore a matching-colored garb with white fur around the shoulders and the large letter 'K.A' engraved on it.
Finally, her golden-yellow locks flowed in the wind, and Tymon noticed that two of them were green, unlike the rest.
As she stared fiercely at Tymon, her eyes glowed a color he'd never seen on anyone before. They seemed multi-colored. Almost iridescent. Her energy felt vibrant and mystical, adding a layer of uncertainty that Tymon couldn't put his finger on as he focused on her.
He noted that she was a sage klevonian as her white yet multi-colored energy exuded from her. It reminded him of the iridescent waterfalls they saw flow from the sky in the Pegasus District when they first arrived. Rabae had informed them that it was the iridescent element. Was that hers, too? Whatever the case, this was unmistakably the Ryfa Pakt he sensed earlier.
Tymon transformed in preparation, knowing klevonians didn't tend to talk first. He noticed his transformation felt unstable, like it was about to unravel. Even his dark wings, which he usually kept in, were out.
The Ryfa Pakt's expression lifted with unexpected shock.
"That's not one of the 21 beasts left," she remarked, talking about his winged-wolf form. "What kind of creature are you?"
Tymon pondered answering, but she quickly put two and two together.
"Is this a byproduct of being part of the Chimera Crest? Hybrid forms aren't limited to just one creature?" she asked. "And it seems it's not limited to just the current 21 creatures either."
So, she knows I'm part of the Chimera Crest, Tymon thought.
"I'm not sure why someone who just got here is targeting the Ryfa Pakt, but..." she began as Tymon's omni-vision picked up on a spread of thin energy over the area. "I have the Negation cintracy. Any cindarian abilities within this area are disrupted. So, give up and come in quietly."
Tymon looked down at his hand and let out some of his darkness. He could also still feel his other cintracies working just fine.
"How are your abilities still working?" The Ryfa Pakt asked him, puzzled. "The only other ability I've known to do that is..."
"My Shield seems to be stronger than your Negation," Tymon remarked.
The Ryfa Pakt's vibes suddenly shifted as she appeared angry. In one swift movement, she suddenly appeared before him with a fist drawn back.
"That power doesn't belong to you," she hissed as she struck him hard.
Tymon managed to place both hands in front of the gut punch to cushion it, but even with him resisting, he felt some of his ribs crack from the force as he was sent crashing into a far-distance wall. The wall didn't break. In fact, it seemed to be made of tough metal that surrounded the entire sector.
Tymon planted his feet on the ground and gritted his teeth as he gave himself an aura of Last Breath and darkness. He was too outclassed by her, despite her not showing even a fraction of her real power. The only thing that would prevent her from attacking like that again was his Last Breath.
As Tymon focused and tried to think of what she meant about Shield not being his, he spotted a silver-black ring on her right finger. It was the same as the ones Gahiji and some of the Deviants wore. That meant she could also summon a special weapon that could hurt him. But she wasn't. She knew she didn't need to. She was prolonging this for some reason.
When she dashed toward him again, he melted into the shadows, but he was slower than usual. When he emerged from a shadow, he was inside a different sector, it seemed, and people were walking about. He hadn't meant to move that far, but he didn't have time to move again since The Ryfa Pakt was already there, reaching for him.
Tymon blasted her with his energy to prevent her from landing another blow.
The Ryfa Pakt leapt back with some of his darkness and Last Breath on her hand.
She looked at it curiously, and Tymon learned that his Last Breath wasn't as effective as he thought. The Ryfa Pakt was still affected by it, but due to the vast difference in power, her fine energy control and spirit enhancement was strong enough to stave it off well. It was comparable to Michael speeding up his healing to stop Last Breath from spreading.
Watching this forced Tymon to acknowledge something: his one saving grace since meeting Rabae wouldn't help him much if he faced someone powerful and experienced.
"Interesting energy," The Ryfa Pakt commented as she absorbed the small amount on her hands until it faded. "What else can you do?"
The Ryfa Pakt came at him again, but Tymon chose to fly into the sky. Wanting to get away from the populace.
"You can fly..." The Ryfa Pakt's voiced from directly behind him.
Tymon spun and kicked with all his might, but she was much faster and stronger. She blocked each blow as black and iridescent flashes sparked in the sky above people.
Suddenly, Tymon was taken by surprise as Alissia appeared before him and tossed him several hundred feet back toward the ground until he crashed into concrete.
This confused Tymon.
"Why are you here?" he blinked as he got up.
"I knew I couldn't trust you not to kill anyone, so I followed you," Alissia responded harshly.
