It was first founded by Gorm Knutsson during the Middle Ages of the Karlo Era, a nation built on raids, mercenary coin, and trades in northern exotics. Its land was small and destitute, a union of homesteads and wooden forts rather than the grandiose cities and castles their Europer counterparts enjoyed, but it was these struggles which forced them to sail the winds of change rather than wait for it to come to them.
