The Sixth Kingdom of Zhermannen is a nation of many peoples, cultures, and traditions and has always been a fractious nation. Following the end of the Julius Era, the tribes which made up its hinterlands disbanded the confederation that Arminius the Victorious formed to drive out the Romer. As a result, the emerging nations that formed the region known as Zhermannen lagged significantly behind their continental counterparts in terms of innovation and trade. Its surrounding powers, including Lechen, Bohemen, Dannen, Franken, and even the Low Lands, asserted their claims over these sparsely controlled territories, but there were two areas that refused to become lapdogs of other peoples: Bawaren and Brannen. Finally fearing that their safety was going to crumble, they began to conquer and grow, resulting in the creation of the Kingdom of Bawaren and the Margraviate of Brannen. Later, Brannen became known as the First Kingdom of Zhermannen after it came into a personal union with Albrecht von Hohenzollern, the Duke of Borußen. For three hundred years, the two kingdoms remained separate entities until the King of Bawaren, Ludwig von Wittelsbach, was murdered by North Zhermanner sympathisers, and the kingdom was effectively absorbed into a newly unified Kaiserreich led by the Hohenzollern. After the end of the Great War, when the ruling dynasty was overthrown and replaced by a corrupt democratic system, it seemed the nation had come to an end, driven into the dirt by superior nations, but from desperation came genius. Zhermannen experienced a golden age after it became a member of the Axis, when technology, for once, threatened the existence of Eifer. New weapons of mass destruction were created and used on her enemies, but such a quick rise to power prompted a similarly quick downfall.
