The God of War is a title that was held by many men in the past, a moniker that was first given to Kan U, a Seriker general who fought during the tumultuous end of the Kan Dynasty. When stories of his deeds spread to the western hemisphere via the Silk Road, the title came into use by the various nations springing up around the continent following the collapse of the Romer Empire. It was eventually agreed towards the end of the Karlo Era that the title of God of War should only be awarded to men who have fought a hundred battles and lost none, but given the impossible nature of this ask, the title was awarded by the people rather than by heads of state. It was later judged that a God of War must wield an Eifer of unrivalled strength, but because of this loose definition, there have been many periods of time when there has been more than one living God of War. Only a small number did not coexist with each other, and much of the world has come to agree that they are its true titleholders. As of the Third Calamity, there exists only one God of War, who is also the King of the Three Crowns.
