10 hours later Blue had awoken from his slumber, disappointed that his dream was over. He didn't know how long he slept, but he wished it was longer so he could live in his imaginary world where Red could be by him without the probability of being found by Infiltrator Intelligence.

Moving to a sitting position on his rugged couch, Blue stretched his arms and legs before standing up too fast. He wobbled back and forth before catching himself, holding his head in effort to stabilise his body.

"Shitt..."
Looking out of a window in the small room that his couch was in, he noticed how it was still relatively dark outside.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAGsPGVvgLaN
'Did I even sleep that long...? Dammit, I'm still so tired.' He sighed as he looked towards his bedroom, thinking in his head before going into it 'I got things to do; I can't let this fatigue get to me.'

After Blue entered his room, they sat at their desk once again before pulling out his journal from the damaged satchel he wore. They wanted to write a 6th entry in his journal before heading out to find the box Red had said would be left near the Carolinas Capitol. Possibly what he'd write is about officially meeting Red for the first time, even if it was a short amount of time. And the bullet in him, that still ached silently as he sat while staring at the Tree and back at his book. And so then he began to write:

Journal Entry 6
I met the girl, Red, and she's... complicated, to say the least. But that's what I like about her, and the tree's right; she just needs my help. It's no surprise to me that Hemlock goes as far as tracking their Infiltrators... but I can't let that separate me and my girl. Hemlock won't dwindle her life or mine anymore, not on my watch. I'll write to her about planning the one time we meet again. A night of love, maybe something like a rave. They're extremely illegal in these times—but why not live life a lil' more dangerously with the one you love?
Stay cool!

Closing his journal, Blue stared out of his window, eagerly waiting for a feather to fall from the Tree. And soon a feather did fall—it coincidentally being that of a blue feather again—and immediately he almost pushed himself fully out of the window just to catch it. When a feather falls from the great Tree, Blue gets just a little more confident with himself in defeating Hemlock with Red. He couldn't let her down; and above most, he couldn't let himself fail to unveil Red's true self.

Before he headed out to the Carolinas, Blue wanted to talk to the tree once again; his emotions were at the brink of exploding all over the place. They climbed out of their window once again, now standing right in front of the tree as he looked up towards it with a saddened expression.
123Please respect copyright.PENANA6hFYifi17B
Blue, he had spoke of his doubts ridden in him
"Tree... why is it me who's going on this dangerous journey... Why me?"
123Please respect copyright.PENANAUtgEwOzLxf
As the wind blew through the Tree, it whispered yet again to answer his budding question.
"You, Blue, are the wolf of this story; the leader of the "pack" with your fearlessness to speak your word. Although there are two sides of you, overconfidence in your words and actions can lead you to be extremely vain to yourself, while your longing and fight for a better world will still overpowering to that of your negative characteristics. But those bad traits are still present in you and can become more prevalent. So you must stay true to yourself, and no matter what happens, it'll work out in the end. Your writings and passion for fighting for a change will be influential and remembered even if Hemlock "wins" against you and Red."
123Please respect copyright.PENANA0rggcLXeHG
Still looking up to the tree, as if it had a face, while puzzled with what it was suggesting with Hemlock "winning." Nonetheless he learned more about himself with the Tree's connection between Blue and traits that related to wolves, although he needed to get going now and find Red's box.

"Uh- thanks again, for all you've told me up to this point. It's helped a lot in understanding what to do next in a world like this... bye, I'll be writing more often."
Blue sounded in a rush as he couldn't wait any longer to see what was going to be in the X marked box. They didn't even ask if writing to Red will cause a feather to fall or not, that's how much of a hurry he's in!

20 minutes later, near the Capitol of the Carolinas at around 7:00 AM
123Please respect copyright.PENANADKdo3cX8cU
It didn't take Blue long at all to get there as he ran as fast as he could, although they had to avoid all the Infiltrators patrolling the forest in search of him. The large Capitol building was relatively close as he saw it through apartments of poor quality, but just a little bit better than Hemlock's, so he knew he was close to where Red may have left the box if she already had done so.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAArKnxqtYVI
Searching around for an extended period of time, he began to get closer to the building pin pointed and there was no sign of any box marked with a red X. Blue began to overthink if Red either hasn't dropped it off yet or something bad happened to her sometime after she'd written that note that had been left on his unconscious body earlier. It felt like he's looked everywhere he could by now, and the sun has risen by now so he had to stay low since he is a traitor to Hemlock, and somebody in Conium might report him being seen here.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAxXiP1iVXS4
Sneaking through empty alleyways with rubbish scattered about the cement ground, Blue had gotten closer to the building and finally remembered she mentioned it'd be near the building. This spot sounded extremely risky for him to venture to for the box from Red, which he was annoyed by. Although, they couldn't hate her for that- or in fact feel anything negative towards her at all.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAbNks3BNuwq
But if they wanted to be safe then he'd need to go under cover. And to his luck, there happened to be a dirty hoodie in a trash can of an alley way they were searching around in. He slid it over his tattered volcom shirt, then pulled the hood over their lapis lazuli-like hair. The hoodie paired with his black shades was a good enough disguise in the moment to not get reported. And the population of Conium was more sparse compared to Hemlock's, but there were still many people roaming these city streets so he still had to be careful.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAKJpsm2Uf72
Blue was not familiar with this city like the one he used to call home. Though if he was to be real, which he always is, it wasn't his home anymore when it came to be known as Hemlock. They sometimes wondered what life would be like if he never moved to the south when he was very young... would it be better? Or maybe he's meant to be here, as the tree has stated multiple times that his passion will overcome Hemlock and its government. He couldn't even remember where he lived in the Northern part of the once U.S.A., but he doubted knowing that information would do him any good.
123Please respect copyright.PENANASHKuorDW89
And with that his preposterous thoughts were over as he reached the Capitol building. But then they got the bright idea to further his defiance by writing to Congress about his problems with the current laws in place. He wanted to do this for as long as he could in hopes for a change, all he could do was hope this all works out like the Tree said.
123Please respect copyright.PENANA4lkW1by8cL
Though he had a box to find, and walking to the left side of the building he eventually ran into something on the ground. With further inspection, pushing the weed-like grass away, he found the fairly sized box marked with a red X.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAC5INaIxzk9
Blue was ecstatic as he finally found it, opening the box up as soon as they had it in his grasp, and had come to be even more delighted by the contents of it. There was the shirt she mentioned and plenty of food, most canned although he knew well of how food comes nowadays. But he then noticed the paper note with a necklace lying on top of it, to him it looked to be a dragon wing in the shape of half a heart.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAfNYxGRsS77
He stuffed the new shirt into his satchel, its design an overall black shirt with blue highlights in the form of a cemetery with a grim reaper close up. There also were birds flying in the sky of the shirt, and Blue liked to think of them as ravens due to how the Tree characterised Red to be.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAZXYiIIG09e
When they grabbed the necklace he didn't put it on as he was eager to read what Red wrote to him. He then read intently, processing her words with love in mind.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAgDkj8WphUT
Hi again, or really not I guess since this is a note. While I was looking for a shirt I found matching necklaces that form a heart. It made me think of what could be, so I wanted to give you kind of... a piece of my heart in a way, and you can wear it while I have a piece of yours always with me too...! And I hope the food satisfies you too, it's not the best out there... but I had to hurry or I would have gotten in trouble. This stuff will be really risky for me to do—but don't worry it's not your fault, it's mine. I should be more like you, confident in standing your ground... I think I'll try to do that now. I would write so much more but I feel you would want me to prioritise my safety. There are words I want to say but I can't bear to speak of them nor write them out, just so you're aware of that... I'm sorry.
123Please respect copyright.PENANA0nQuLtALiq
P.S. please... leave a note here so we can communicate, and so I know if you're alive and actually seen this. Also, best of luck with destroying Hemlock, I wish to help out more but... I'm not sure if that's possible with the tracking device I'm forced to wear that I wrote to you earlier about.
123Please respect copyright.PENANATcxPOdHg0F
After reading it, Blue began to ponder on what to respond back with... maybe how he could help get rid of the tracker and also the rave he'd thought about too. He flipped to the back of the paper that was in the box, and began to write:
123Please respect copyright.PENANANaRhma9X60
Yes, I highly appreciate your support for me and my endeavours and it is true, I'd rather you put your safety first. Anyways... I'll definitely be wearing the necklace all the time, it makes me endear you even more than I already do. And to show how much I do... I was thinking where we could spend the one night together and I thought going to a rave would be nice! There's one happening at night the day before my, well, birthday... I guess. The rave is on the 15th of November and people like us will be there, so we could have the time of our lives! Also I believe that you can remove the tracking device and be free of being an Infiltrator. And if it makes you feel better, I can be there with you so you're not alone ◡̈
123Please respect copyright.PENANAAoGDcpClA2
This is all the shitty Dictator's fault, not yours. Just wanted to make sure you know that...♡
After Blue finished his note they'd read it over, becoming extremely giddy about him and Red hopefully going to a rave together; they couldn't wait to see what she'll write next. Not to mention how he was terribly hungry, so he picked some food from the batch given to him and ate it up. And after finishing they'd packed the rest of the food, then happily wore the necklace around his neck. Lastly, before he could write his first letter to the Capitol, Blue had to cover up the box once again so it would not be found. By now it's nearing 8:00 AM so there was going to be more foot traffic in Conium which is bad news for Blue.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAcMbByrny2C
Beginning to write on a paper that was blank on both sides, he wrote his feelings down that he felt the congress should know and make his voice heard.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAJ9pupmwsdw
I've written this letter to you with the purpose of making it known how much I disagree with the way things are in the Southern Nation. And I'm quite positive that there's other people who think the same as me. The lack of freedom we have is unacceptable and has made just about everyone completely inhuman. There is no positive outcome to come from these rules; life has felt more mundane than ever when compared to what I can remember before these 2 years. The oppression against free thought, knowledge, art, love, religion—and the list goes on—is ridiculous, and I hope all of you in Congress understand that changeneedsto happen.

Letter sent by BLUE from HEMLOCK...
123Please respect copyright.PENANA2FoFt7lqZf
He then finished writing the letter and ripped it out of his journal before heading to the entrance while continuing to stay low. The dirty hoodie still covered most of Blue's identity as one could never know how smart people today can surprisingly get, even if everyone has seemed to be relatively dumbed down due to the laws. Quickly it was between him knocking on the door and leaving the letter on the ground as he scurried on out of there, finding his way back into the crowded city of Conium.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAr6BtqvEpMu
While trying to head his way back to the hideout, they noticed the jumbo display screens on all of the tall buildings turn into a news broadcast. Everyone, including him, stopped to see what could possibly be worth interrupting the constant advertisements which always had given Blue an aching headache due to the overstimulating lights and sounds. This was the worst thing Blue could see right now; a report of a "Dangerous Fugitive," SUBJECT 1116, who is on the run from the Deceivers and needs to be sedated or erased from existence entirely at this instance.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAppBCK0vFrV
The reporter went on to list the known felonies "it" has made at this point in time, those being murder of (what they know of, which is correct) 2 Infiltrators, running away from society and in the past has been found journaling extremely illicit things about the government.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAAOzELSIJ5A
And then finally he ended the live news broadcast with a command for every victim of the Southern Nation to do.
"If you see this scum, report immediately to any Infiltrator, Deceiver and especially Infiltrator Intelligence as they are trying hard to figure out where it is located. We can't have any more rules disobeyed by this monster."
And then the repetitive ads resumed on the ginormous screens as the crowd surrounding Blue began to whisper to one another, signaling to him that this was his call to leave the area quickly.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAcgzGuPNpQI
The hate for him was a lot, but they could handle it... although one day it might be too much for him. Although he knew that'll never happen, even if they make him crawl away in pain after being crushed by their extreme oppression towards him.
123Please respect copyright.PENANA5s8B1c8M4o
Soon they neared the forest of where their hideout is located and he desperately wanted to be near the tree again and to feel its embracing, invisible hug. Oddly enough, when he's under the Tree's branches, leaves, and such... it feels as if he's back in the world he once knew. Although it wasn't the best either, it was at least liveable... for the most part. He'd hoped to change the world to something better than ever before, people living their best lives more than their worst and darkest moments of their life. And even to figure out if there's a way to stop humans from killing the Earth, he hated seeing animals that once roamed this area simply just... disappear!

Another 20 minutes later, at Blue's hideout
123Please respect copyright.PENANAEt5E4IlEyb
He was elated to have reached his hideout without alerting a single Infiltrator, it was pure luck with how close they got to him as he vigilantly sneaked past the danger. Before opening the entrance and heading in they looked around and listened to make sure no one was near. There wasn't a single person in sight so Blue quickly opened the entirely moss covered door and went inside, locking the wooden door.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAglBBxDGzMI
The hideout appeared untouched from when they last were in it almost two hours ago now, but it also looked extremely lived in. He headed to his room after giving everything in the living room a quick look over to make sure nothing broke in while he was gone, Blue was quite the one to be extremely skeptical of everything. Before advancing further into their hideout he dropped off most of the food Red gave him and took his rugged volcom shirt off in replacement for the new grim reaper one she also had left him.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAgpkmancgRx
Now in his room, they wrote again on the desk placed right under the window where the Tree is standing strong at. What he wanted to do now was write as many entries as he possibly could and leave them lying around Hemlock, and maybe in Conium too, for residents to find and be enlightened by his writing of truth. In this entry, his 7th one, he began to write with purpose and truth in mind; in effort to inform those like him that there is hope.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAOvZ3vO5c9p
Journal Entry 7
I wrote this for someone like you to find it by luck, coincidence even, and as a sign of hope for you too. If there's something unique about you that's been pushed away by Hemlock and its callous rules then you should dig it up out of its grave, therefore own what is rightfully yours once again. You and everyone else can be defiant to the totalitarian government we live in and out Dictator that rules over our lives. And that, that is unacceptable by all means; don't let that scum treat the entirety of the Southern Nation like fools when they're the real imbecile.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAx8DMPUoN7b
Stay cool, and don't listen to any of what a Deceiver or Infiltrator says. I believe in you and your own respective journey to enlightenment!
Blue.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAGMpmC7xZAS
Sighing while admiring his writing, Blue failed to remember how a feather falls from the Tree outside of his window with every entry he creates. After he absorbed the contents of the note, which he hopes falls into the right hands, Blue finally noticed two feathers lying on the open window seal and took a second before grabbing ahold of them both.
123Please respect copyright.PENANA7GirB4xvqa
They spoke out loud to himself, trying to make sense of why there were two feathers before checking how much he has in total now with the new additions.
"Three...? Huh, I guess me writing to congress and Red both counted as a feather... makes sense. Ah, now how much do I have... seems to be five, nicee."
Then he brought back his attention to his newest journal entry.
"Hmm... I could probably go into the city now and leave this somewhere... yeah, just gotta be careful."
Blue grabbed the paper and ripped it out of his book, but then forgot to check if there was an entry written on the other side of the paper
"Oh shit- uhh..."
They frantically turned the paper over and luckily it was blank. In response to this, Blue let out a sigh of relief before getting out of the rickety chair he'd been sitting in and went to put the dirty hoodie over him again.
123Please respect copyright.PENANApeHoCieJJa
After that Blue was about to leave, but he started to consider if he would ever lose his journal, feeling the need to leave all his journal entries in the city. Now he finally left the hideout as soon as he entered it, returning to his stay-low status as they ran through the forest. It has almost become a habit for him to run every time he is in the Highlands of Hemlock, it gives him a feeling of euphoria from the breeze.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAnVLfbfOwqK
Around 9:00 AM in the city of HEMLOCK.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAQmdlvJDAON
The venture to the city was the same as usual, avoiding dangers like Infiltrators, although there was no sign of the general. He wondered if they happened to completely avoid the harsh, grizzled man or because he'd cut the man's eye open by Blue and now has to be hospitalized. But at this moment in time the location of the general was more so his least worry as the city was packed as always.
123Please respect copyright.PENANA5NCTWWxDi1
He began to blend in with the crowd on the cracked sidewalks in an incredibly poor state as it was easy to trip up almost every minute of walking on them. Blue then shoved entry 7 into a random resident that happened to pass by him when not many people were walking near him, trying to reach whatever place it may be. The renegade didn't speak to the victim and headed on their way to a secluded alleyway once again to rip out the two other entries, 5 and 6, in hopes for no one to gain suspicion of him.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAGV2d9lR1Eu
A short time later, after joining the constantly moving crowd once again, he'd given both entries to other random people walking and immediately began to head out of the city once again. On his way out they'd notice many small holograms emitting an image of him with wanted above it. The holograms themselves also spoke of them being an escapee and also writing entries in the past—and you know how that ended. This dug into Blue's mind as he could not escape hearing himself called "Subject 1116" over and over again— it was mentally taxing hearing the name he hated most.
123Please respect copyright.PENANAW4pzCiegxR
Luckily Blue reached the outer parts of the city fairly quickly, nearing the large forest area once again. He hated going into the city; Blue strayed as far away from it as he could, only venturing out to it if there's a good reason to. For why he's like this is simple—it brings back memories he wishes to forget about, ones of pain. And there's something in him that creates the feeling in which history will repeat itself someday... it was an odd feeling for him to have.
123Please respect copyright.PENANABVxZS7fTL7
Over the walk back to his hideout, again he managed to stay out of sight from any Infiltrator's which to this point he was unsure of how he'd been getting this lucky. But if an Infiltrator, or multiple, comes across their path... he wouldn't think twice about killing them bastards with his trusty knife. To be clear, Blue didn't condone murder, but if he'll die from not using self dense then so be it—he'd kill whoever it may be.

Back at his hideout again, he lounged on the torn couch with his satchel off and lying next to him. They were brainstorming what gifts he could give to Red in return for the shirt, necklace, and even food that'd been given to him in the box today. 'Hmm, I could give her some of the feathers... and maybe draw both of us together! I could pass the time doing that...' So that's what he did; Blue grabbed his journal and began to excitingly draw him and Red looking at each other endearingly.
