He treated you like his best friend, you think.

He treated you much more differently than his other mates,

even to other girls.

"He definitely likes you," Your best friend said.

You shook your head, a slight red crept up on your cheeks.

"We're just best friends, you know. Nothing more."

You knew what you said was different to what you were thinking in your heart.

You wanted to be something more than friends with him.

He told you he likes someone,

you knew it wasn't you.

You knew that he likes your best friend, not the one that you are very close to,

but the one who you are just normal with.

"He likes her, not me."

Your best friend scoffs.

"A crush is a crush. Love is love. Love happens with someone who,
