He raised me after my parents died, helped keep me sane and off the streets. He didn’t have to do that but he did anyway. So when I was old enough I joined. I felt like it was a way to pay him back and honor my parents. 18 years, 18 years that this war has been going on and it just feels like every battle fought, every task force operator that dies means nothing in the end.
