The group set their packs down under a citrus tree and ate their breakfast: fresh, home-baked bread and hot cocoa. Following breakfast, they spread out through the field, looking around at the trees and crops. Several citrus trees dotted the land: limes, lemons, mandarins, and pomeloes. The pomelo trees were laden with fruit; the group picked one and shared it among themselves as they continued walking. Cashew trees towered high above the other trees on the land, competing with the coconut trees for dominance. Cocoa and nutmeg trees littered the gentle slope at the back of the flat land.
