A really good action-packed chapter which makes me excited to see what happens next.

I also really like the interaction between Gideon and Moryuu, I don't know if it was on purpose but it seemed like those two were holding back. Moryuu only used blades and Gideon seemed to have been revealed to be maybe the strongest character here.

First, he was pinned by Shadow then went toe to toe with a holding back Moryuu who should be as strong if not stronger than Shadow, and then restrained a Level 4 who was giving Cordis and Jayden trouble. It's like Gideon is slowing revealing his true power as things get more out of hand. Very cool stuff, I'm looking forward to a possible Full powered rematch between Moryuu and Gideon.

Correct me if I misinterpreted though.

@Traveler I did kinda have the two of them hold back. Moryuu likes to watch people just as much as Gideon likes to observe/gauge. I also looked at Moryuu's inventory from the profile you kindly provide and the guy has a ton of weaponry:
1. I didnt know how he was toting that gear
2. I didnt want to expend any consumable that could've been an "Final Boss" item

- I don't recall Gideon being pinned but will skim through to see where this happened.
- Four is very aware of the difference between its and Gideon
- I look forward to Moryuu vs. Gideon as well! That'd be something to see if he fought with Sairix too🤔

But I am a bit confused about Shadow, did he fight against Caecius or just blended into the background sneeked off? You may Shadow is obsessed but not that maddening, if ypu get my drift.
He is apparently really trolling you. 😏

@FionaDaydreamer, Shadow is around but I had a hard time writing him in a fight scene as 1) I havent seen him outright fight
2) He be trollin' 😒

@Tenshi no Yami, the reason why he doesn't fight much is because it's a part of his weakness. He prefers to cheat, take the short cut or even run away from fight if he has to. Just to get what he wants and that's manipulate Magpie to his liking. When fighting then 100% with magic and barely any physical workout since he is a possessed spirit and doesn't know much about the human body.

It's all good! It was a great read full of action!My favorite part was : "Licking off the dark substance, Gideon swung his other hand to catch Moryuu across the face before licking the man's blood from clawed fingertips. Reformed tentacles sprouted around the Umbra as it twitched with sudden anticipation while ashen skin transitioned to match the pitch-black color of the tentacles. Sharpened teeth flashed before only two gold slits were left to be seen. Its outer outline bristled before the Umbra lunged soon after to close the distance."I love how Gideon goes beast mode on Moryuu 👾 Like how most of the time he appears civilized and collected but he's still an Umbra creature at heart 😈

@Ciro, Im glad you enjoyed that part😊. Was writing it like "Gideon, you sure we doing this now...?"

But could you imagine him outright irritated when Vandal caused an explosion in his face 😳? That fight would be insane!
