The moment where he says “He's in good hands I promise. Absolutely wrecked me… knowing he's talking about himself while she's mourning him?? That hurt in the best way : D
And that tiny instinctive head pat at the end god, the way memory almost breaks through there is so powerful. I love how soft and restrained their dynamic is despite all the pain underneath.
This worldbuilding with the Moon Goddess and Chosen feels so rich too, I'm completely hooked on this :)))
