This story is heartbreakingly intimate you capture the raw ache of guilt, longing, and self-denial so beautifully that it feels almost too real. The piano as both refuge and mirror of Avery’s emotional state is such a powerful motif. I’m curious did you intend for Avery’s love for Eleanor and Tyler to represent two different kinds of love, or are they part of the same wound she’s trying to heal?

That's a wonderful question, but it's hard to answer without giving away too many spoilers!

Let's just say that Avery herself may not fully understand the depth of that wound yet. Or if she's starting to, it's only happening right now, as we see it.

As for the nature of her love... well, we fear that how she feels about Tyler and Eleanor is right there in plain sight, isn't it? ^^'
