This is a good chapter, I do have one question though:

When was it established that Cordis cared for Caecius that much? Maybe I missed/forgot something but It came off as an overreaction to me. Is it maybe that this action shows that Cordis actually cared for his allies all this time but never showed it?

@Traveler it is a bit of an overreaction thats why Jayden was telling him that they could talk about it. Cordis already has a short fuse but he's only been around Umbra for 7 Central (84 living years) years so he overlooked the idea of actually having a bond with any of the allies. Out of all of them he wouldve liked Cae they most given the fact met him first. He'll most likely write it off as him not being able to kill Cae himself since he wouldnt know how else to handle his sudden outburst.
