I actually don’t know. These are stories I lost the spark for. Now, its up to you to complete that story, if you wish. You can choose whether he was just dreaming or if it actually happened to him!

@Glamorous , That’s actually a cool concept. 👀 I’m curious when you pictured this story, did you already have specific visual scenes in mind? Like colors, lighting, or certain shots that stood out?

@KiaraJohn, I could see him shivering and sweating under his blanket… in his polka dot pajamas… looking out the small window he had right next to him… with the streetlight glaring at his face… yeah that’s all. What sort of picture do you have in your mind? 

@Glamorous , I can definitely picture this scene. For the illustration, I'd focus on the moment right after the roof tile crashes down. The boy is sitting up in bed wearing polka-dot pajamas, wrapped in his blanket, with the orange glow of a streetlight shining through the small window beside him. Dust hangs in the air, and through the broken roof, a pale, wide-eyed helicopter pilot is staring back at him I think this scene would make a great illustration because it's the story's biggest visual surprise. It instantly grabs attention, creates curiosity, and makes readers want to know what happened next. A strong cover image like this can help draw more people to the story. If you'd like, we could even bring this scene to life visually I’d be happy to help brainstorm the composition, lighting, colors, and details with you!    

@KiaraJohn, you seem like a person who can write very well, especially such immersive scenes. I think you should try and bring this story alive yourself! As I said before, I have lost the spark for these stories, I can’t recapture the mood and the vibes I had while writing this, you know what I mean? I think I forgot to mention in the contest that whatever story you wrote from these and liked the best, you can continue writing and make a whole book out of it, no need for copyrights or anything like that. Because I dont need these stories anymore. Looking for something better within me, you know?

@Glamorous , This actually has more potential than it seems at first. The way you mix intense sensory detail with sudden surreal events feels very strong and could definitely become a proper psychological-surreal story, not just separate scenes. That “helicopter in the room” moment especially could be turned into a repeating visual motif throughout a larger book, which would make it even more powerful and memorable. I dont want to continue writing this anymore, but I would be happy to help you if you need any help with it. It was supposed to just be a short story with a shocking ending. I really think you can make it more than that.

I wouldn’t replace it, just expand it into a more structured psychological narrative with a stronger flow and ending, while keeping your original ideas and tone. Another great option is turning it into a comic format. Your scenes are already very visual, and comics are trending a lot right now because they bring stories to life in a cinematic way. If you’re open to it, I can take this forward as a paid creative project and develop it either as a polished story or a comic-style adaptation. Either way, it would stay true to your concept, just more refined and impactful.No pressure just thought it could grow into something much bigger.
