Is the orange fruit named after the colour of colour named after the fruit?
So the colour is named after the fruit. And people started to refer the colour with the name of the fruit because the fruit was of that colour, same as lavender colour is called so because of the flowers of the plant.

Why is the time with the slowest traffic called the rush hour?
The traffic is slow because many people are out at that time, many people want to get to their destinations at the same time. The name isn't given because of the speed of the traffic, it is given because of the amount of people rushing to the places they wanna go.
